Faces of Twilight: Clair Banta

THE FACES OF TWILIGHT highlights special donors, volunteers and staff members who do good, spread joy and contribute their heart and soul to the Twilight Theatre.

Legend has it, the Twilight Theatre’s back doors were designed to be wide enough so Clair Banta, local Model T collector, could drive his cars on stage. In late September 2014, we made his wish come true. With the help of Matthew Deighton, author of Molly and the Tornado, and Anita Grimm Hohl, photographer, Clair and his Model Ts received their very own photo shoot. Executive Director, Adam Wagner, unlocked the never-before-seen theatre seats and movie screen for this special occasion. Many folks sent donations to the Twilight TheatreĀ in memory of Clair’s wife, the late Wilda Banta. A seat is dedicated in her name, and her spirit was there watching over Clair and his 15-minutes of “center stage fame.”
